Rural Remote Education - The Current State
A video I made for a subject at JCU ED1401. Was created in under 2.5 hours. Not bad if you ask me.. Although, I made it. Heaps of internet statistics about rural education in the busy. More information check out the video for it. Rural and remote students comprising one third of all school pupils. Only 17% of that proportion attend tertiary education. Over half of all state schools in Queensland are located in rural and remote areas. Approximately 121, 520 students are enrolled in these schools. This accounts for 24.8% of the total student population. (DETA, 2008) The figures in rural education are continuing to grow unless a good framework is selected and taught. Pedagogy. Thanks to .. UNICEF: Hygiene education in remote Mali
UNICEF: Hygiene education in remote Mali
www.unicef.org FADIEDA, Mali, 14 December 2009 The village of Fadieda is at the forefront of a new pilot programme in Africa. Its one of 15 villages selected by UNICEF and the Ministry of Environment and Sanitation to change the way it approaches sanitation. Until recently, the inhabitants of this village did not use latrines, a very common occurrence in Mali. About 61 per cent of the rural population does not have access to improved sanitation facilites, causing serious health issues, like diarrhoea or eye diseases. To put an end to this practice, UNICEF and its partners chose an approach that relies on the people themselves and on community leaders such as Sho Traore. In the 15 pilot villages, 272 new latrines have been built and 95 have been rehabilitated. All latrines have been equipped with handwashing facilities. Sho Traore will now has the task of spreading the news about good sanitation to other community leaders the programme is being expanded to 175 other villages throughout Mali.

Country Education Foundation of Australia - Committee Video. For young Australians living in rural and remote areas, the substantially greater cost of accessing further education and training opportunities after high school, as compared to their metropolitan counterparts, is often prohibitive. For this reason the Country Education Foundation of Australia (CEFA) was established so that we could assist rural communities right around Australia to establish their own local education foundations. These local community run foundations raise funds to provide much needed education and training grants to youth from their community to help make their transition out of high school a successful one. Collectively our local education foundations have given 1047 grants totalling $1.1 million. Let us share with you how they do this.
